1. Tapjoy Account Set Up

Before you start monetising with Tapjoy, you will need to add your app to their dashboard and configure your placements for Tapdaq mediation.

A) Set Up Your Placements

Select the app which you wish to monetise by clicking the dropdown in the top right corner of the Tapjoy dashboard. You then need to click on the placements tab in the left menu.

You will now need to configure separate placements for each ad format with which you wish to monetise. To create a new placement, click create placement in the top right corner.

Note: Tapjoy also adds a default placement for you to use. You can either edit this, or set up new placements yourself.

B) Handling Virtual Currency

You will now need to set up a virtual currency on Tapjoy. This is essential, as all ad content on Tapjoy must have a currency attached to it.

To set up a virtual currency, click the Virtual Currency tab in the left menu, and then click Create Virtual Currency in the top right corner.

A form will then open, where you will need to enter the details of your virtual currency.

Note: You should set the currency to be Tapjoy managed.

C) Content Set Up

Finally, you need to set up content cards (your ad formats) and attach these to their respective placements. To set up your ad content, click the Create Content tab in the left menu.

If you're using Tapdaq SDK versions 7.x and higher, you can also set up a programmatic content card on Tapjoy, which enables you to use SDK Bidding.

Video Interstitial

To set up a video interstitial, click Create on the video section in the content list. To ensure a standard video interstitial is shown, in the Reward Options section please select Fixed Rewards and set the reward amount to 0.

If you would like to make your standard video interstitial skippable, then you can do this in the Reward Options section by setting the video close button to visible.

Please also ensure you select the Hide Reward checkbox on the Tapjoy dashboard.

Rewarded Video

To create rewarded video content, click Create on the video section in the content list. In the Reward Options section, select select Fixed Rewards and set the reward amount to 0 (this will enable you to set your own reward values on the Tapdaq dashboard).

Please also ensure you select the "Hide Reward" checkbox on the Tapjoy dashboard.
